Purplish-Pink diamonds (1PP) are the highest in value. It’s the rarest and most expensive. The colour gives the diamond a more intense and stronger look. Then it’s followed by straight pink diamonds and then pink rose.
To put into perspective, in one year the Argyle mine produces a palm full of pink diamonds. Not only are they extremely rare but they are also very difficult to polish due to its complicated structure. On average they take three to four times longer to polish than a regular white diamond.
